Coach Chris Andrus is proudly a Coach Jay Associate
Coach. Chris is a USA Cycling (USCF) "Expert Level"
cycling coach, a USA Triathlon (USAT) Certified Triathlon
Coach, an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified
Personal Trainer, and a Lifestyle and Weight Management
His work in the health and fitness industry includes
three broad areas: Multi-Sport Athletic Coaching;
Personal Training and Conditioning; and Lifestyle
and Weight Management Consulting.
Speed and power training
Sherri Allen has a history both as a competitor and
as a strength and power coach. She began her career
with a B.S. in Exercise Science from East Carolina
University, where she was a 4 year scholar athlete
and captain of her Division I Softball team. This
was followed by an internship as a Georgia Tech Strength
/ Conditioning coach. SherriÂ´s athletic accomplishments
include being strongest female athlete in the history
of both her high school and college, and state Power
lifting Champion in Georgia and South Carolina. Currently
Sherri is a member of the National Strength Conditioning
Association, and especially enjoys working with young
Adventure racing, running
Sandy Geisel has distinguished herself repeatedly
as both an athlete and a coach. Her love of health
and fitness has her coaching all levels of athletes,
personal training and doing motivational speaking
for corporations and groups. Sandy began running in
1996 and has since competed in 16 marathons, a handful
of ultra marathons from 32 miles to 50 miles. She
is a member of the Atlanta track club competitive
team for four years, and is currently one of the clubs
running coaches. Adventure racing has become her passion
and she has competed around the world in numerous
races, including the Eco Challenge Malaysia, Eco Primal
Quest and British Virgin Islands 4 day adventure race.
Her next race is the Eco Challenge in Fiji. Sandy
founded the Atlanta Trail Blazers, an adventure racing
club, where she is able to put her extensive knowledge
and skill to use inspiring others to join the sport
She has also coached the Leukemia Society's Team In
Training adventure team. Currently Sandy is certified
by the American College of Sports Medicine, the American
Council on Exercise, and is a US track and field coach.
She enjoys challenging herself with running, kayaking,
as well an intensive competitive race schedule.
Matt Russ received a BS in Commercial Recreation
from Georgia Southern University. He has been a competitive
runner for ten years, a multi-sport athlete for six,
and an adventure racer for three; competing in races
from coast to coast. Matt is owner of Dynamic Fitness
Systems and has trained, coached, and counseled hundreds
of people over the last seven years. He currently
is an ACE certified level II personal trainer, ACE
certified weight management consultant, AAFP Post
rehab specialist, and a USAC Expert Level cycling
coach, and CTS coach. He has specialty recognition
from ACE in strength conditioning. Matt considers
each clients life style, and attempts to integrate
balance and consistency into their training programs.
Lynn Pinyerd has 27 years of running experience and
has competed in distances from the 5k to marathon.
She ran cross country and track at Auburn University
where she competed at a national level. In addition,
she has competed in numerous races across the U.S.
as a member of the Atlanta Track Club's Competitive
Team. She graduated from Auburn with a B.S. in Health
and Recreation and received a M.Ed from Mercer University.
Also, she is an IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer. Lynn
believes the keys to good coaching are encouragement,
motivation, and communication.
