Betsy Hunter- Yoga & Pilates
I started my fitness education when I attended the University of Alabama to study dance and theatre. After my first semester I was awarded a dance scholarship. While there I studied under Dame Sonia Arova of the Alabama School of Fine Arts during the summer and danced with the Alabama Reparatory Dance Theatre during the in-school seasons. During my last year I decided that I wanted to finish school in New York City; I went on an exchange program to Hunter College and finished my degrees there.
After working as a dancer for almost two years, I decided that I wanted to use my training to help others. I moved to Atlanta and worked as a personal trainer for Crunch Fitness for about a year and a half. During my time at Crunch, I became one of the top Crunch trainers in the region, creating and teaching a "Ballet Bootcamp" class for the Roswell location. Soon after I expanded my studies and began to study yoga.
With my dance background, I connected quickly with the ideals and demands of yoga; yet, I still wanted more. Since my passion lay in teaching, I decided to branch out into the community, and I begun teaching yoga. I have been able to convince three companies that they should provide this awesome service for their employees. Those who practice yoga become much stronger physically, mentally and spiritually. This allows for a much stronger and positive person as well as productive employee.
Currently, I am teaching six yoga classes a week as well as running my own personal training business out of Body Pros studio. I love my job. I truly enjoy guiding people to a better understanding and appreciation of their bodies. If you don’t have this, then it’s time you get it. I don’t know about you, but I intend on growing old gracefully, living life to its fullest. I would be delighted to help you reach your own goals
