SanSandy Geisel has distinguished herself repeatedly as both an athlete and a coach. Her love of health and fitness has her coaching all levels of athletes, personal training and doing motivational speaking for corporations and groups. Sandy began running in 1996 and has since competed in 16 marathons, a handful of ultra marathons from 32 miles to 50 miles. She is a member of the Atlanta track club competitive team for four years, and is currently one of the clubs running coaches. Adventure racing has become her passion and she has competed around the world in numerous races, including the Eco Challenge Malaysia, Eco Primal Quest and British Virgin Islands 4 day adventure race. Her next race is the Eco Challenge in Fiji. Sandy founded the Atlanta Trail Blazers, an adventure racing club, where she is able to put her extensive knowledge and skill to use inspiring others to join the sport She has also coached the Leukemia Society's Team In Training adventure team. Currently Sandy is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, and is a US track and field coach. She enjoys challenging herself with running, kayaking, as well an intensive competitive race schedule.
